Woven Light, Lantern Style

Hanging a light source also means choosing what it says about your home. This Chinese lantern woven bamboo pendant light is woven by hand in a geometric pattern that filters light and casts soft shadows on the walls. The faceted silhouette borrows the formal sobriety of East Asian lanterns, while matching a contemporary decor. Made from natural fibers selected for their suppleness and hold, it suits a living room as well as a bedroom where you want to soften the mood without cluttering the space.

Dimmed Light Through Bamboo

Hung above a coffee table or a reading corner, this Chinese lantern woven bamboo pendant light filters light rather than spreading it harshly, casting shadows softly patterned by the weave on the walls. Natural bamboo, worked by hand in regular strips, plays an active role in the quality of light: each gap between the strands shapes the beam and softens the atmosphere with no extra accessory. This woven lantern pendant suits a bedroom as well as a hallway or a relaxation space, wherever enveloping light is better than direct lighting.

A Pendant That Creates a Mood

Switch on the light and the room changes: the woven bamboo casts on the walls a lace of shadow and light no other material produces the same way. This Chinese lantern woven bamboo pendant light belongs to a decor inspired by Asian interiors, where dimmed light becomes a full part of the atmosphere. The lantern shape, with carefully balanced proportions, directs the beam downward while letting a golden glow escape through the sides. Each hand woven frame shows slight variations that recall the handmade origin of the piece and make it unique.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the pendant?

The shade measures 9.8 x 9.8 in (25 x 25 cm) and hangs from a 47.2 in (120 cm) cord with a switch, a good size for a bedroom or a reading corner.

What bulb does it use?

It takes an E27 base bulb. The bulb is not included. Choose LED, which stays cool next to natural fibers, in a warm white around 2700K for a cozy glow.

How high should I hang it?

Leave about 30 to 36 in between a tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a walkway or in an entryway, keep at least 7 ft of clearance from the floor.

How do I clean it?

Switch it off and let the bulb cool. Dust the woven bamboo with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum, then wipe with a barely damp cloth if needed. Never soak natural fibers.
