Woven Rattan in a Sea Form

Hung from a beam or fixed to the wall, a rattan whale catches the eye without cluttering the space. Each curve of the silhouette is shaped by hand, which explains the subtle relief and precise line you notice up close. The hanging woven rattan whale finds its place in a child's room as well as a living room in natural tones, bringing a soft, organic presence without weighing the room down. The solid assembly keeps a stable hold, even hanging freely, while the fine rattan weave keeps the shape light.

Woven Rattan by Hand

Each hanging woven rattan whale comes from manual weaving where the natural fiber is bent, pulled and tied to capture the supple silhouette of a whale in suspension. The weaver's gesture gives the material a lightness the eye perceives at once: neither stiff nor frozen, the shape seems to glide through the air. The natural tone of rattan, close to raw linen, goes effortlessly with light walls, blond woods or neutral textiles. Hung on a discreet thread, this hand woven rattan whale brings a soft presence, far from any colored or shiny artifice.

A Living Material to Decorate Differently

Set against a wall or hung from the ceiling, a woven rattan whale tells something plastic or metal never will: the memory of a plant material worked by hand, supple and sturdy at once. Woven rattan takes the light differently through the hours, bringing forms and shadows to life on your walls. Each piece comes from hands that know the qualities of natural rattan: its lightness, its strength, its ability to age without losing its hold. Over time, the tone deepens slightly, giving your decor a character only authentic materials develop.
