An Open, Hand Woven Basket

Dropping laundry or a throw into a basket that breathes is a simple gesture the material answers honestly. The open rattan basket draws its strength from its lidless design: air circulates freely around what you set inside, with no extra handling. Every edge and every curve carries the mark of weaving done by hand, with a regularity only patient work can produce. Dense, sturdy natural rattan gives the whole a simple presence that suits a bathroom as well as a bedroom. A rattan basket that combines everyday use with lasting strength.

The Artisan's Hand in Every Row

Behind each handle and each row of crossed strands, a pair of hands worked the rattan directly at the workbench, without templates or machines. This open handmade rattan basket carries the rhythm of the workshop: slow, precise, guided by the eye as much as by the hand. The open shape is no accident; it is a technical choice that helps air circulate around what you store. It is this coherence between form and use that sets a handmade rattan basket apart from an identical molded item. You receive an object where each crossing of fiber shows an attention to detail only handwork makes possible.

Rattan at the Heart of Daily Life

Every morning, gathering scattered laundry or folding a throw becomes almost pleasant with a well made object. This open rattan blanket basket fits naturally in the bathroom or bedroom, ready to hold your things throughout the day. The hand woven rattan strands form a sturdy structure that keeps its shape over time without sagging under the weight. The wide opening at the top makes it quick to drop things in and lets them air out. This rattan basket does a real job without visually cluttering your space.

What can I use it for?

As a blanket basket by the sofa, a laundry basket in the bedroom, a towel basket in the bathroom or a toy basket that kids can reach easily.

Can I use a rattan basket in a bathroom?

Yes, natural rattan handles normal room humidity well. Keep it away from direct water splashes and leave room for air to circulate so it can dry between showers.
