Naturally Dimmed Light

Set on a windowsill or hung in a corner of the patio, a lantern says a lot about how you arrange your spaces. Hand woven in carefully selected rattan, the retro rattan lantern with woven rope pairs a square 10.2 x 10.2 in silhouette with a rope spiral that strengthens the structure as much as it affirms the character of the piece. Light passes through the weave and casts soft shadows that warm the mood without forcing the effect. Sober in line, honest in material, this rattan lantern finds its place indoors as well as on a porch, through the seasons.

Rope That Reinforces the Rattan

A lantern gets moved, carried and hung again and again, which is exactly where its construction matters. The natural fibers selected for this retro rattan lantern with woven rope hold their shape through that everyday handling. The hand woven rope reinforces each joint and ensures lasting strength. You can set it on a covered patio, a balcony or in a sunroom with confidence, and bring it inside when the rain comes.

Soft Light for Outdoor Evenings

Set on a garden table or hung from a low branch on a dry evening, the retro rattan lantern with woven rope turns your evenings outdoors into calm moments. Natural rattan worked by hand brings a warm, lively texture to a patio or a balcony. The woven rope, knotted carefully around the frame, strengthens the handle and adds to the authentic character of the piece. At dusk, the light filters through the weave and casts soft shadows on your walls that naturally invite calm and conversation.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the lantern?

It measures 10.2 x 10.2 in (26 x 26 cm), a good size for a patio table, a console, a step or a row of lanterns.

What light can I put inside?

A battery LED candle is the safest choice. A tealight in a glass holder also works if you never leave it unattended and keep the flame away from the weave.

Can it stay outside?

It is best on a covered patio or porch. Bring it inside in rain, since natural fibers last longest away from prolonged humidity.

How do I clean it?

Switch it off and let the bulb cool. Dust the woven lantern with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum, then wipe with a barely damp cloth if needed. Never soak natural fibers.
