Dimmed Light in Woven Bamboo

Switched on at the end of the day, a lamp changes the way you see an entire room. The handmade bamboo lantern pendant plays precisely on this effect: its woven mesh lets the light through in small, soft projections that dress walls and ceiling in a discreet veil of light. Each bamboo stem is chosen for its regularity, then assembled by hand with a tight weave that ensures structure and texture. The inner shade softens the bulb so the light never feels harsh. This bamboo lantern suits a dining room as well as a reading corner, anywhere you want warm lighting without visual harshness.

Bamboo Woven by Hand

Watch the light filter through the bamboo weave: that is where the uniqueness of this handmade bamboo pendant light lies. Each hand woven strand shapes the light, casting patterns of shadow and light on your walls that change with the hour and the season. Bamboo structures the overall shape with a sturdy lightness, while the woven outer shell adds a visual density that holds the eye without weighing down the space. Hung above a table or in a hallway, this bamboo lantern pendant turns an ordinary light source into a truly living presence in your home.

Soft Light for Every Evening

When the day fades, the quality of light in a room changes the whole atmosphere. Spread through the natural weave, the light of this handmade bamboo lantern filters gently, without dazzling or hardening the space. The interlaced fibers of this creative design cast small patterns on the walls, extending the weaver's work well beyond the object itself. The result is dimmed, enveloping lighting that naturally invites rest. A result only a living material worked by hand can truly offer.

Frequently asked questions

Which size bamboo lantern should I choose?

S (15.7 in wide) suits a bedroom, a hallway or a small table, while L (19.7 in wide) fits a dining table for four to six or a living room. Both are 7.9 in (20 cm) high.

What is the inner shade for?

The inner shade sits inside the woven bamboo shell and softens the bulb, so you get a warm, glare free glow with the woven pattern still visible on the walls.

What bulb should I use?

It takes a standard screw base bulb. A bulb is included. It is rated for 90 to 260V, so it runs on standard US 120V current. Choose an LED bulb, which stays cool next to natural fibers, and a warm white around 2700K for a cozy glow.

How high should I hang a pendant light over a table?

Leave about 30 to 36 in between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a walkway or in an entryway, keep at least 7 ft of clearance from the floor.

How do I clean a bamboo shade?

Switch the light off and let the bulb cool. Dust the shade with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum, then wipe with a slightly damp cloth if needed. Never soak natural fibers.
