Rattan Radiating Around the Mirror

Look at this frame and you will immediately see how the rattan and bamboo stems, fanned out around the glass, catch and spread light through the hours. Each stem is tied by hand in a precise assembly that gives the round rattan sun mirror its recognizable solar silhouette, with no artifice or added gilding. The raw material keeps its natural, slightly honeyed color, which blends into a light interior as well as a space in deeper tones. Hung alone on a bare wall or paired with other wall pieces, this rattan sun mirror adds volume and a hand worked natural texture that guides the eye without weighing down the space.

A Radiant Woven Frame

Hung above a sideboard or facing a window, a round rattan sun mirror turns natural light into a play of shadows and reflections on the wall. The frame is woven by hand in a radiating pattern, each strand of natural rattan placed with care to form this silhouette that is both structured and organic. An inner ring with an aged limewash finish creates a subtle contrast between the raw fiber and the worked surface. This rattan mirror fully does its job as a mirror while becoming, through its texture and shape, the point around which the wall arrangement of a room is built.

Rattan Beyond Furniture

Hung on a bare wall, a round rattan sun mirror reveals all the richness of a material worked by hand, braid after braid, to draw out forms that are both structured and alive. Rattan does not only dress chairs and tables: it lends itself just as easily to decorative objects, giving them a natural grain impossible to imitate industrially. Each woven frame shows slight variations in texture that make every piece unique. Sturdy and stable over time, hand woven rattan ages without deteriorating, keeping its shape and warmth year after year.
