Woven Rattan With Soothing Curves

Set on a bathroom floor or tucked into a bedroom corner, a scalloped rattan basket truly changes the way you see an everyday space. Its rounded, scalloped edges, carefully worked by hand, soften the lines of the room and pair naturally with light, uncluttered interiors. The dense, regular weave gives the rattan a firm structure that stands up to repeated use without losing its shape. The natural beige of this rattan storage basket blends into neutral palettes as well as woodier moods, without forcing the match.

Woven Rattan Between Storage and Decor

When an everyday object fully owns its presence in a room, it stops being invisible. The Nordic scalloped rattan basket fits into your home not by being forgotten but by settling in naturally, thanks to the living texture of hand woven rattan and soft shapes inherited from traditional basket workshops. The tight woven structure holds the eye as much as it holds your things, while the warm tone of raw rattan pairs with light wood, neutral textiles and limewashed walls that define contemporary Nordic interiors.

Rattan at the Heart of Daily Life

Sorting, gathering, dropping laundry waiting to be washed: these repeated gestures deserve an accessory that keeps up without sacrificing the harmony of your home. Made by hand from carefully braided rattan strands, this scalloped rattan storage basket is a discreet yet sturdy presence in the bedroom or bathroom. The natural strength of rattan lets it carry real loads while keeping its shape over time. The tight woven structure ensures excellent hold, wash after wash and season after season, without the basket warping or sagging.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the scalloped basket?

It measures 15.7 in (40 cm) across and 16.5 in (42 cm) high. It holds a few days of laundry, a stack of blankets or a large potted plant.

What can I use it for?

As a laundry basket in the bedroom or bathroom, a blanket basket by the sofa, a toy basket in a nursery or a plant basket for a floor plant with a saucer inside.

Can I use a rattan basket in a bathroom?

Yes, natural rattan handles normal room humidity well. Keep it away from direct water splashes and leave room for air to circulate so it can dry between showers.

How do I clean a rattan basket?

Remove dust with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum, then wipe with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry. Avoid soaking it or leaving it in direct sun for long periods.
