Hand Woven Rattan Storage

Tucked into a living room corner or slid under an entryway console, a good storage basket fades into the background while effortlessly organizing daily life. This scalloped woven rattan basket meets that need with a solid structure, thick handles and a slightly irregular weave that reveals the basket maker's hand at every crossing. Natural rattan, worked without artifice, develops a golden patina over time that deepens its character. Versatile, it fits a bathroom as well as a bedroom or an office, where storing things goes hand in hand with living well.

Rattan That Fits Anywhere

Hand weaving gives each rattan strand a slight irregularity, the signature of objects shaped by artisans who work without molds or templates. On a bedroom floor, in a bathroom corner or next to a sofa, this woven rattan storage basket adapts to very different styles without forcing the match. Its simple silhouette and natural tones pair as well with raw linen as with light walls. Far from a purely practical accessory, this scalloped rattan basket fully owns its role as a piece worth looking at, storage and visual presence in one handcrafted gesture.

A Material That Outlasts Trends

Some materials cross the decades without ever aging, and rattan is one of them. Where other decor trends fade, this woven rattan storage basket keeps a discreet, lasting presence in the home. Its hand woven texture brings a visual warmth industrial materials cannot offer. Woven by hand, each strand follows a precise logic that ensures both a sturdy structure and a harmonious look. Place it in a living room, a bedroom or an entryway: this scalloped rattan basket blends in naturally, with no special staging needed.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I choose?

S (9.4 x 9.4 in, 5.5 in deep) suits toiletries, small toys or yarn. L (14.2 x 10.6 in, 5.9 in deep) holds towels, magazines, a folded throw or kitchen linens.

Are the handles strong enough to carry it full?

Yes, the thick handles are woven into the rim, so you can move the basket from room to room with its contents.

Can I use a rattan basket in a bathroom?

Yes, natural rattan handles normal room humidity well. Keep it away from direct water splashes and leave room for air to circulate so it can dry between showers.

How do I clean a rattan basket?

Remove dust with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum, then wipe with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry. Avoid soaking it or leaving it in direct sun for long periods.
