Woven Bamboo, Natural Light

When light passes through the tight bamboo weave, it draws a shadow play on the walls only a handmade piece can produce. This small retro woven bamboo lantern shade takes a natural beige tone that goes effortlessly with a wide range of interiors, from rustic to pared back contemporary. Each piece shows slight weave variations, the direct sign of handwork that sets it apart from mass production. Its lantern silhouette spreads a soft, enveloping glow, as suited to a living room corner as to a nightstand.

Light Filtered by the Weave

When night falls and you want to soften the mood of a room, the choice of shade becomes decisive. Hand woven bamboo lets warmth through its natural gaps, casting lace like patterns on the walls that vary with the brightness of the bulb. This small retro woven bamboo lantern shade fits above a dining table as well as a reading corner, with no particular style constraint. The hand woven structure keeps each shadow pattern unique, true to the soft irregularities of handwork on natural fiber.

Natural Material in the Room

Set above a table or hung in a hallway, a small retro woven bamboo lantern shade changes how a home feels much more deeply than you might expect. Light filtered through the weave draws soft shadows on the walls, like reflections of leaves. It is this dimmed, warm and lively light that gives the room an organic, restful character. Hand woven bamboo, with its natural variations of tone and texture, brings a discreet yet tangible presence, a material you recognize at first glance and never tire of.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the shade?

It measures 4.3 x 4.3 x 3.7 in (11 x 11 x 9.5 cm), a small size for a string of bulbs, a sconce, a bedside lamp or a row of pendants.

Is it a complete lamp?

No, it is the shade only. Fit it on a pendant cord set, a lamp base or a sconce you already own, with an LED bulb that stays cool.

What bulb should I use?

Use an LED bulb, which stays cool next to natural fibers, in a warm white around 2700K to bring out the golden tone of the rattan.

How do I clean it?

Switch it off and let the bulb cool. Dust the woven bamboo with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum, then wipe with a barely damp cloth if needed. Never soak natural fibers.
