Woven Seat on a Wood Frame

The tight weave covering this small woven stool runs in crossed diagonals, mixing beige, golden and brown strands in an irregular pattern only handwork produces. Four solid wood legs, carefully squared and joined by low crossbars, form a square frame whose strength shows in the frank section of the posts. The seat fits the wood frame without overhanging, giving the whole contained, honest proportions. This compact size sits at the foot of a bed as well as in a hallway, ready to hold a book, a pair of shoes or to serve as an extra seat. The pairing of wood and hand woven fibers gives this stool a living texture, far from the uniform surfaces of factory made furniture.

A Reliable Support Every Day

Set on old floorboards, a tiled kitchen floor or a bathroom mat, the small woven stool on wood frame stays stable and straight thanks to its four legs firmly planted on the ground. The natural weave, worked by hand, offers a stiffness you would not suspect at first glance: each binding of fiber adds to the strength of the whole, without weighing down the silhouette. Light to carry from one room to another, it moves from the living room to the bathroom, from the sunroom to the reading corner, with the same ease. A small stool as simple in shape as it is thoughtful in construction.

Natural Materials in Your Home

Strong by nature, rattan is one of the rare plant materials able to combine structural lightness with everyday sturdiness. Our small woven stool on wood frame rests on this concrete fact: dense cane, woven by hand, that takes weight without bending and keeps its shape over time. Its golden tone and warm highlights bring a discreet, living presence to your interior. Whether it sits in an entryway, a bedroom or a living room, this small stool fits in effortlessly, as if the room had always been waiting for it. An honest material, equal to the use you will make of it.
