Square Storage in Woven Rattan

Tucked into a bathroom corner or set along a laundry room wall, a square rattan laundry basket uses every available inch without spilling into the walkway. Its right angled silhouette lines up naturally with a cabinet or tiled wall, with no staging needed. The hand weave gives the whole a visible strength, each strand held with the regularity of carefully made pieces. The natural tone of the rattan fits a pared back decor as well as a woodier mood, for laundry storage that does not need to hide.

Geometric Weave, Light and Shadow

Watch the morning light pass through the walls of your square rattan basket: the grid pattern opens regular gaps in the woven structure, creating a play of light that lightens the piece without weakening its frame. Tight strands and close crossings alternate to create this open geometry, where each square answers the next with a precision only handwork can achieve. The shadow changes with the hour, bringing the surface to life through the day. The natural ventilation this open weave allows also keeps laundry fresher while it waits to be washed.

Rattan at the Heart of Daily Life

Storing laundry does not have to happen in a hidden corner: a square rattan laundry basket in your bedroom or bathroom fully owns its presence. Hand woven rattan offers a firm structure that stands up to repeated use while letting air circulate freely around the laundry. Its square shape sits naturally against a wall or in a corner without wasting space. Over time, the material develops a golden patina that deepens its character: your square rattan basket ages well, which is exactly what makes it a lasting accessory.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the square rattan basket?

It measures 11.8 x 11.8 x 11.8 in (30 x 30 x 30 cm). It holds a few days of laundry for one person, bath towels, or toys and blankets.

What else can I use it for?

As a toy bin in a kids room, a blanket basket by the sofa, a towel basket in the bathroom or a cover for a potted plant with a saucer inside.

Can I use a rattan basket in a bathroom?

Yes, natural rattan handles normal room humidity well. Keep it away from direct water splashes and leave room for air to circulate so it can dry between showers.

How do I clean a rattan basket?

Remove dust with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum, then wipe with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry. Avoid soaking it or leaving it in direct sun for long periods.
