Soft Light in Rattan

Set in a corner of the patio or in the middle of a living room table, a tall woven rattan decorative lantern turns each light source into a muted halo. The openwork weave plays with the warmth of an LED candle to cast shadows that gently bring the walls to life. Each piece is shaped one by one, with as much care for the regularity of the weave as for the strength of the natural rattan structure. Sober in form, generous in the mood it creates, this lantern suits a pared back interior as well as a covered outdoor space in the evening light.

A Gesture That Lasts

Finding a present unlike all the others is often where the real thinking begins. Hand woven in carefully selected rattan, this tall woven rattan decorative lantern carries the mark of meticulous work, visible in each crossing of fibers. It fits a windowsill as well as a living room side table, adapting to very different interiors without ever overdoing it. Giving this decorative lantern means choosing an object made to stay, far from short lived accessories, with the natural grain of rattan that holds true over the years.

Soft Light for Your Gatherings

A wedding on the patio, a christening under the trees or dinner with neighbors: every gathering deserves lighting that sets a mood without forcing it. Set on a table or hung from a branch, the tall woven rattan decorative lantern spreads a filtered, slightly amber light that naturally softens the edges of a space. Rattan, breathable and strong, suits summer evenings as well as fall dinners. Made by hand, each lantern has a regular weave that plays with the light, drawing changing patterns on walls and tablecloths through the night.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the lantern?

It measures 9.8 x 13.8 in (25 x 35 cm), a slender size for a dining table, a console, a windowsill or a step.

What light can I put inside?

A battery LED candle is the safest choice. A tealight in a glass holder also works if you never leave it unattended and keep the flame away from the weave.

Can it stay outside?

It is best on a covered patio or porch. Bring it inside in rain, since natural fibers last longest away from prolonged humidity.

How do I clean it?

Switch it off and let the bulb cool. Dust the woven lantern with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum, then wipe with a barely damp cloth if needed. Never soak natural fibers.
