Chinese Tradition, Natural Light

When light passes through a finely worked plant weave, it changes: more diffuse and more alive, it draws soft shadows on the walls that bring the room to life without taking it over. This Chinese style rattan dome pendant follows that logic, drawing on classic Chinese design while adapting to today's interiors. Its structured silhouette, shaped by hand strand by strand in natural rattan, offers a strong visual presence without weighing down the space. The golden warmth of the rattan combined with LED lighting creates a balanced atmosphere, perfect for a dining room as well as a calm living room.

Hand Woven Rattan, Soft Light

Look closely at the crossings of fiber that make up this rattan dome pendant light: each one reveals the patient regularity of a gesture repeated by hand, without molds or templates. Wicker and rattan, worked with Asian basketry techniques, give each piece a subtle relief the eye rediscovers depending on the angle of the light. No two pendants are exactly alike, which makes each one a unique piece. Hung above a table or in a reading corner, it casts a dimmed halo that showcases the material as much as the space it lives in.

Visual Lightness Up High

Hung from the ceiling, hand woven rattan plays with light and empty space in a way few materials can: it floats without weighing down, it structures without cluttering. This woven rattan pendant light draws your eye upward, opening the space instead of crowding it. The plant weave gently filters the light and casts shifting patterns on your walls as the hours pass. A restrained Chinese style, where the curve of the woven rattan recalls traditional lanterns without ever tipping into decorative excess.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the rattan dome pendant?

It measures 19.7 in (50 cm) wide and 16.5 in (42 cm) high. It suits a dining table for four to six, a living room or a bedroom.

What bulb should I use?

It takes a standard screw base bulb. The bulb is not included. It is rated for 90 to 260V, so it runs on standard US 120V current. Choose an LED bulb, which stays cool next to natural fibers, and a warm white around 2700K for a cozy glow.

How high should I hang a pendant light over a table?

Leave about 30 to 36 in between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a walkway or in an entryway, keep at least 7 ft of clearance from the floor.

Will a woven shade make my room too dark?

The weave filters the light rather than blocking it, so you get a soft ambient glow and patterned shadows on the walls and ceiling. For reading or kitchen tasks, pair it with a brighter light source.

How do I clean a rattan shade?

Switch the light off and let the bulb cool. Dust the shade with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum, then wipe with a slightly damp cloth if needed. Never soak natural fibers.
