Rattan and Bamboo, Woven by Hand

When the heat sets in, nothing replaces the gentle breeze of a fan shaped in a living material. This large round woven rattan and bamboo fan is woven by hand, stem by stem, with a precise gesture inherited from traditional basketry workshops. The bamboo frame gives a firm hold without weighing the piece down, while the ribbed rattan surface shows the regularity of the work. An everyday accessory as much as an object to set down or hang, it suits a light summer outfit as naturally as a kitchen wall or an open shelf.

Useful and Decorative

Held between the fingers on a sunny afternoon or leaning against a wall as a sober ornament, a woven rattan and bamboo fan naturally plays both roles: useful and decorative. Each piece is born from careful hand weaving, where bamboo stems and rattan strands cross in a precise rhythm that gives the object its strength and lightness at once. The plant structure woven by hand moves the air without tiring the wrist, and ages with a golden patina no synthetic material can reproduce. Hung in a composition or simply leaning on a shelf, it looks at home in a sunlit sunroom as well as in an interior with clean lines.

Rattan and Bamboo, Naturally

Hung on the wall or set in a composition, a large round woven rattan and bamboo fan brings an interior what few other objects offer: the soft presence of a living material, with warm tones and visible ribs. Each piece is woven by hand, which gives it slight variations of shape and texture you will not find on any other. Bamboo, supple and strong, mixes with rattan with a natural coherence that avoids any artificial effect. This woven accessory suits a boho world as well as a pared back decor in neutral tones, and ages gracefully over the years.

Frequently asked questions

How big is it?

It measures about 15.7 x 14.2 in (40 x 36 cm), a large round fan that moves plenty of air and makes a strong statement on a wall.

Can I hang several together?

Yes. Grouped in two or three sizes or overlapping slightly on a wall or a console, they build a warm boho display. Each fan hangs from a small nail by its handle.

How do I care for it?

Dust it with a soft dry brush or cloth. Keep it away from water, steam and direct heat, and let it air dry in the open if it ever gets damp.

Is it a real fan or only decor?

Both. It is a light hand fan you can use on hot days, at a market or on a terrace, and it doubles as natural wall decor the rest of the year.
