A Woven Basket for Laundry

When laundry piles up between the shower and the bedroom, you need a container that holds up without weighing down the room. Made by hand, this tall rattan laundry basket rests on a sturdy frame and tight strands that stand up to repeated loads, week after week. Its generous shape and well built rim keep laundry in place, even at the end of the week. Light enough to move from room to room effortlessly, it finds its place in a bathroom, a bedroom or a laundry room thanks to the natural tones of raw rattan that suit most interiors without forcing. Storage designed to last.

Woven Rattan, Light to Carry

Lifting a basket full of laundry without strain and crossing the hallway to the washing machine without your arms protesting: that is what the airy structure of rattan allows, with a strength that does not weigh on your wrists. Each open weave rattan laundry basket is shaped by hand from stems carefully selected for their resistance to repeated daily use. The strands are crossed with an even tension that keeps the walls firm even when the load is generous. This hand weaving gives the basket a natural breathability: the fibers let air circulate, which helps keep laundry fresh while it waits. The rattan laundry basket fits in a laundry room, a bedroom or a bathroom, without ever clashing with the rest of the furniture.

Storage That Stays Easy on the Eye

Tucked into a bedroom corner or set near the bathroom, a hand woven rattan laundry basket stores daily life without putting it on display. The natural rattan strands, tightened with regularity, form an airy wall that lets laundry breathe. No banging lid, no synthetic material: just the soft presence of a plant material that ages well and blends into any room. Over time, the golden tone of the rattan deepens slightly, giving your laundry basket a character mass produced items never acquire.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the tall laundry basket?

It measures 15.7 x 15.7 in (40 x 40 cm) and 20.3 in (51.5 cm) high. It holds about one to one and a half loads of laundry.

Can I put damp towels in it?

Let towels dry before tossing them in. Natural fibers breathe, but leaving wet laundry inside for days can cause mildew. Empty the hamper regularly and let it air out.

Can I use a rattan basket in a bathroom?

Yes, natural rattan handles normal room humidity well. Keep it away from direct water splashes and leave room for air to circulate so it can dry between showers.

How do I clean a rattan basket?

Remove dust with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum, then wipe with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry. Avoid soaking it or leaving it in direct sun for long periods.
