Woven Rattan, Lively Tassels

When your eye stops on a basket, it is often the material that speaks first: here, cream rattan woven by hand forms a solid, even wall with a density that feels reassuring to the touch. The woven belly basket with tassels extends this natural base with knots of white and green tassels, tied one by one to add rhythm around the rim without spoiling its lightness. Your hand feels the rigor of the weave, and your eye catches the movement of the tassels as soon as you lift it. On a kitchen counter, a sideboard or an entryway shelf, this tasseled rattan basket fills the space with discretion and character, without trying too hard.

Natural Rattan, Woven Color

Raw rattan keeps a golden beige color that is left unaltered: it is against this neutral background that the tassels come into their own. Each tasseled rattan basket is knotted by hand, and this repeated gesture gives each tassel a firm hold without stiffness. The green and white of the tassels are not a finishing afterthought: they are attached as part of the making, which anchors them durably to the structure. On a hallway floor, in a bedroom or in a living room, this hand woven basket adapts to daily uses without losing its visual personality.

Rattan That Suits Your Home

Neutral by nature, hand woven rattan pairs as well with a limewashed interior as with colored walls or a more contemporary decor. This woven belly basket with tassels makes the most of that flexibility: its tassels add a lively, personal note without ever imposing a single style. The hand woven structure ensures a strength that stands up to daily use, whether you use it for storage, to carry things or simply to display it. It naturally finds its place in the house through the seasons and rearrangements.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the tassel basket?

It measures 10.6 in (27 cm) across and 9.4 in (24 cm) high. It holds a medium plant pot, fruit, yarn, toys or bathroom essentials.

Can I use it as a plant pot cover?

Yes. Place your potted plant inside with a saucer or a plastic liner underneath, so watering never soaks the rattan.

Will the tassels come off?

The tassels are knotted by hand to the rim and hold firmly with normal use. Avoid pulling on them to carry the basket; use the body or the rim instead.

How do I clean a rattan basket?

Remove dust with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum, then wipe with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry. Avoid soaking it or leaving it in direct sun for long periods.
